IR filters are used in remote control units, security systems, sensors, scanners, IR cameras and other areas where there is a need to exclude visible light.
Acrylic is the most suitable base material for the transmission of light in the near-infrared region. Ever since the founding of the company PSC has specialized in this area and today we are a leading developer and producer of IR filters.
The infrared filter, which is a broad-band filter in the range 800 to 2000 nm, absorbs the entire visible spectrum and ultraviolet rays, providing the maximum transmittance for displays with near-infrared light.
The filter has a transmittance up to 96 % in the near-infrared region and prevents the penetration of light with wavelengths below 750 nm.
Our IR filters can be supplied with PSC Hard or Fine Mat surface treatment, which prevents distracting reflections from the surroundings without reducing the quality of the signal. The filters can be produced with an embedded metal mesh for the attenuation of electromagnetic noise (EMC). The filters can be machined, for instance using laser cutting and milling techniques – and they can be supplied with silk screen printing.
